March of the Mermaids will bring a celebration of the sea, mermaids and sea creatures of all kinds to our shores here in Brighton. Raising awareness of marine conservation and the protection of our seas. With a meeting point on Hove Lawns (at the Peace Statue) at 14.00, we will then begin our fishy parade along the seafront at 15.00. Our after-party at Above Audio will start from 16.00 until 20.00, with live music, performances and DJ’s. There will be prizes for the best costumes and the crowning of our new Queen Mermaid and King Prawn! This is a family friendly event and all ages are welcome to take part.
