A local treasure, acclaimed nationally and campaigning on global LGBT issues, Pride is a celebration of all that is fabulous about Brighton & Hove. Join 160,000 expected participants and spectators as 2014’s LGBT community Pride Parade The World’s A Disco celebrates the music, dance and colour from around the globe. Dancing under the campaign theme Freedom To Live the parade will also highlight the plight of those global LGBT communities whose basic right to party and live freely is denied.Brighton & Hove Pride 2014, is a festival that the city’s wonderful LGBT community can be proud of. One that can make a difference as it campaigns, celebrates and parties. Pride brings out the very best of the city of Brighton & Hove; diverse, colourful and absolutely fabulous.The Pride festival in Preston Park promises to exceed last years success with over 40,000 people dancing, partying and celebrating Pride. With extended opening times from 12 midday until 10pm, the return of the acclaimed main stage filled with live acts, special guests plus eight entertainment areas featuring dance tents, cabaret, performance, funfair, market and community area, the Pride festival will deliver a Brighton day out like no other.2013 Pride was the best yet, raising a record £43,000 for LGBT and HIV community groups. She’s provided backing vocals alongside Izora Armstead as Two Tons O’ Fun for Sylvester’s You Make Me Feel Mighty Real, delivered house anthems including her own Carry On & Give It To You, C&C Music Factory’s Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) and Blackbox’s Everybody Everybody. She is now enjoying critical acclaim with her latest album Something Good.Added to all the above we can now announce Sam Bailey as the star of this year’s finale at Pride!Sam Bailey is the diva we all love. And she’s a diva we are proud to announce will be performing at Brighton Pride 2014. Having captured the hearts of the nation with her spellbinding X Factor audition rendition of Beyonce’s Listen, Sam went on to win the tenth series in 2013.Brighton Pride 2014 is set to be the most sizzling yet with new acts and DJs including Collabro, La Roix, Lascel Wood, Eve Iglesias, Frankmusik, Maze & Masters, Massive Ego and Q Boy joining Katy B, Sam Bailey, Blue, Seamus Haji, Republica, Kimberly Wyatt and Martha Wash for the UK’s proudest day by the seaside.
